THANKSGIVING FOOD BASKETS

For Thanksgiving 2008, the Penuel church family decided to forgo having a church Thanksgiving dinner, and to provide dinners for families in need in the community.  The Community Service, Children's Ministries, Youth Ministries, Education, Health and Temperance and Family Life departments all made contributions in support of purchasing food for the needy.  On November 23, 2008, food boxes were made and distributed to families in need.  The church family went out to be a special blessing and deliver God's gifts of love to those who were in need of a blessing.  We saw God at work as we were able to help more than 30 families with Turkey dinners (with all the trimmings) for Thanksgiving.  God is truly at work at Penuel!
